Day Services

   Holiday House’s Day Services offer social, educational, vocational and recreational activities to participants. The objective is to encourage growth and a true sense of community through meaningful activities that foster functional life skills.

   Day Services offer a staff to participant ratio of 1:8.  Specialized Support Services are designed for participants who have greater personal care needs or require a constant level of supervision.  Staff to participant ratio ranges from 1:1 up to 1:3.

 
   Individualized plans are developed through a team process centered on the individual’s abilities. Plans are intended to provide the tools and supports participants need to reach their identified goals. They are also designed to establish daily activities that promote functional skill development while fostering the individual’s sense of belonging and developing good, strong relationships.

   Participants are given opportunities to assess services and to make informed choices about other vocational options.  Staff members are encouraged to become creative in discovering activities that are of interest to each individual.
