Employment Services Coordinator


This is a full-time position with benefits.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Employment Services (ES) Coordinator is responsible for management of the Community Employment Program and implementation of Program Services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 ·      Maintain a working knowledge of the philosophies, rules and expectations of funding sources.

·      Use assessment, referral information and the employment plan to develop suitable community work situations that accommodate individuals with disabilities who are seeking community employment.

·      Conduct Employment Services Meetings.

·      Take an active role in public relations efforts pertaining to the program.

·      Develop and build working relationship with area businesses to promote employment.

·      Participate in the hiring, training and evaluation of program personnel.

·      Supervise program personnel.

·      In conjunction with other ES staff, assign staff members to specific job sites to ensure that the training needs of worker and employers are met.

·      Provide systematic instruction and other support services as needed.

·      Participate in the Case Review Process including the development of program plans with program participants, ES staff and Case Managers.

·      Assist with the end of month billing activities.

·      In conjunction with other ES staff, maintain current case record information that describes the ongoing status of each program participant.

·      Provide Case Managers with program status updates pertaining to respective participants.

·      Distribute, gather and assess consumer satisfaction surveys. Use the information gathered to improve quality of services offered to program participants.

·      Maintain an up-to-date understanding of best practices in Community Employment and provision of human services through participation in-service training and educational opportunities authorized by Holiday House Management.

·      Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Social Services

 
EDUCATION: 
Minimum educational requirement - Bachelor Degree in Human Services field.

 EXPERIENCE:  Experience working in a Community Employment Program and with the State of Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation desirable.

SKILLS:   Strong leadership, management and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Ability to market services that lead to employment opportunities. Computer skills are essential.  The ability to deal with unexpected change and emergencies in an effective and calm manner. A focus on creating a positive work environment is expected. Must excel at personal interaction with department staff, program participants and employers. Must display a high degree of emotional maturity.  Knowledge of the philosophy and best practices related to Community Employment.  

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Supervise Employment Services Staff.

 TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

The ability and willingness to travel to sites associated related to promotion and implementation of program and agency services is required.  There are occasions when participation in trainings or other program or agency functions located outside of this area are required.  Overnight or longer stays at some functions are periodically required.

 
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Perform certain assigned tasks in a typical office setting.  Make contacts and presentation in a variety of settings.  Provide support services to participants and employers in their workplaces or other sites as required.  Must have a Wisconsin valid driver’s license with a good driving record.  Must be able to meet Holiday House’s Insurance Carriers Vehicle Insurability Standards.

Employment Services Job Developer

This is a full-time position with benefits.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Employment Services Job Developer is responsible for the identification and discovery of each program participant’s employment skills and abilities. The Employment Outreach Job Developer is responsible for cultivating and fostering relationships with potential employers.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

·      Maintain current case record information that describes ongoing status of each program participant.

·      Schedule and facilitate meetings.

·      Use referral information, career profiles and the employment plan to develop and meet employment outcomes for participants. 

·      Utilizes good interviewing skills in order to learn about program participant’s preferences, past experience and values that support employment.

·      Responsible for assisting individuals with job preparation, including identification of career goals, abilities, skills; resume development and interview skill building.

·      Have a working knowledge of Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) services and requirements.

·      Develop and build working relationships with area businesses to promote employment opportunities.

·      Actively engage in community outreach in order to increase awareness of program services

·      Coordinate and conduct meetings as needed.

·      Provide systematic instruction and other support services as needed.

·      Maintain up-to-day understanding of best practices related to Employment Services through participation in ongoing training opportunities.

·      Provide Case Managers with program status updates pertaining to respective participants.

·      Will be responsible for any other duties assigned by management.

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 
EDUCATION: 

 Minimum educational requirement - Bachelor Degree in Human Services field.

 
EXPERIENCE:      

Experience working in a Community Employment Program and with the State of Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation desirable

SKILLS: 

 Ability to market services that lead to employment opportunities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability and desire to promote outcomes sought by participants

Must have good organizational skills

Ability to work as a team member

Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 Work in fast paced environment and must be flexible to the needs of businesses and our participants.  This job requires that employee observe and meet with participants, employers, and other contacts in both office and community settings. Must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a good driving record and be able to meet Holiday House Insurance Carriers Vehicle Insurability Standards.
